Alan Harding – Memory of Use
An exhbition of still life paintings
9 October - 9 November 2010

Alan's work reflects his interest in painting crafted objects, arranged in simplified stage like settings. Each object or combination of objects presents many possibilities and engaging problems for composition with shape, space and colour. In these paintings, he seek to define an abstract structure or geometry, create a sense of stability and develop
feeling or mood.
Like all effective still life art, Alan’s work lifts everyday objects to a moving and
evocative new aesthetic level.
